Everything You Need to Know About the Madden NFL 25 Closed Beta

Friday, EA Sports released the first batch of new information regarding Madden NFL 25. We learned about changes coming to gameplay, presentation, and Franchise. Now, EA Sports has also released some information about the upcoming closed beta for the game.

Closed Beta

After many expected it to begin on Thursday, the Madden NFL 25 closed beta officially started today at 2:00 pm ET. This is the beginning of the first weekend of the beta. During this weekend, players will have access to Play Now, H2H, Practice Mode, Ultimate Team, and Superstar. The beta will be playable until 2:00 pm ET on Tuesday, June 18th.

The second weekend of the beta will begin at the same time on Thursday, June 27th, and run through 2:00 pm ET on Tuesday, July 2nd. The second weekend will feature all of the modes from the first weekend, as well as Franchise and Training Camp.

The Closed Beta is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and on PC via the EA app. This is a Closed Beta, so sharing videos, screenshots, discussions, thoughts, or streams of the game is prohibited.

Since this is a beta, it is important for those playing to remember that this is not a finished product. The ratings in the beta are not reflective of what they will be like in the final game. There are also some known issues that the development team are aware of. One of these issues causes defenders to lose their assignments when using coverage shells in certain formations. There are also known issues with character models and gear when editing players or coaches. Players will also not be able to upload or download Draft Classes through Madden Share during the Closed Beta.

If you do play the Closed Beta in either weekend, make sure to provide feedback on your experience. Once you download and log into the Closed Beta, you will be able to follow the link in your invite email to access the forums. This is where you can provide feedback on any issues you see.
