Power Rankings

Leading the way going into College Football 25 are the top rated Georgia Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are rated at 95 OVR going into this season. The Bulldogs won the national championship in 2021 and 2022, and had an impressive season last year before they fell to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

Following the Bulldogs at number two is The Ohio State University. The Buckeyes had their third consecutive 11-2 season in 2023, but sadly came up short against Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. Oregon rounds out the top three after a 12-2 season that finished with a 45-6 beatdown of Liberty University in the Fiesta Bowl. Ohio State and Oregon both have a 93 OVR rating.

Alabama is the fourth ranked team in College Football 25 with a 92 OVR rating. It appears that the retirement of longtime head coach Nick Saban isn’t much of a concern to the ratings team. Rounding out the top five is Alabama’s newest SEC rival, the Texas Longhorns. Texas also has a 92 OVR rating, and will be a popular choice with players like Quinn Ewers leading the way.

The rest of the top ten includes Clemson (90 OVR), Notre Dame (90 OVR), LSU (90 OVR), Penn State (88 OVR), and Utah (88 OVR). Notably missing from the top ten are the reigning national champions. The Michigan Wolverines will go into College Football 25 as the 11th ranked team at an 88 OVR. The Wolverines lost several key players from last season to the NFL Draft, including QB J.J.
