Madden NFL 25 First Trailer Shows Major Changes

So far this year, all eyes in the sport gaming sphere have been on College Football 25. However, today that attention shifted over to Madden NFL 25. EA Sports finally released the reveal trailer for the game, along with tons of information about what we can expect from this year’s entry.

Reveal Trailer

The first shot of the trailer gives us our first look at how the new kickoff will look in the game this year. A Browns kicker sends it away to be fielded by… Steelers QB Justin Fields. This is actually somewhat accurate. Earlier this offseason, Steelers running back Jaylen Warren said the Steelers special teams coordinator floated the idea of Fields being used on kick returns. Seeing this little easter egg, if you can call it that, was a funny way to start the trailer.

The main thing the trailer talked about was BOOM Tech. Last week, EA Sports revealed that Madden NFL 25 would have a new physics-based tackling system. This adds to the Field Sense Gameplay System that has been at the forefront of the gameplay changes made over the last couple of years.

The trailer also showed several of the new ball carrier moves that will be present in the game. Players will have new juke, hesitation, and step back moves that they can use to get around defenders. There was also a nice look at Vikings WR Justin Jefferson making a crazy one-handed backhanded grab. Hopefully this animation is not too present, but it was pretty cool to see.

The trailer wrapped up quickly glancing over several things like the new presentation, deeper franchise immersion, and more. We also got our first look at what the new NFL Draft experience will look like. Roger Goodell is shown holding up a jersey with player who was drafted.

The final seconds of the trailer quickly cycled through several different smaller additions coming to the game. One of these was the new hot route options being added in. We also saw what looked like new mini games being added, as well as a possible return of The Gauntlet.

Hopefully more information will be released soon about these additions, as well as more gameplay. We will keep you updated as soon as more Madden NFL 25 information is released.
