Madden NFL 25 Reveals Huge Fan Requested Features Coming This Year

Today, EA Sports officially revealed Madden NFL 25, which is set to release on August 16th. This year’s entry in the long-running football simulation series is promising to bring several fan requested features. Among those are a new physics-based tackling system as well as new presentation and commentary options.

Gameplay

Several big changes are coming to Madden NFL 25’s gameplay. First, the new BOOM Tech system is set to redefine how tackling works. This new physics-based tackling system uses data from within the game to determine the outcome of a tackle. It will consider factors such as the player’s timing, speed, strength, ratings, and more to bring a more dynamic feeling to player impacts.

The famous Hit Stick has also received some improvements in Madden NFL 25. The Hit Stick will now use a timing mechanic to give players more control on how they try to deliver that huge hit. This system will consider the stick movements of both the defender and the ball carrier to determine the size and effect of the hit.

Ball carriers will have more to manage this year with the new Ball Carrier Balance and Recovery System. This system follows a similar theme to the previous two of trying to make the gameplay more dynamic and realistic.

Presentation

The presentation of Madden NFL 25 is promised to be much improved compared to previous entries. For a few months now it has been rumored that the game would feature multiple broadcast teams, similar to College Football 25. Now, this rumor has been officially confirmed. Two new broadcast teams will join the usual team of Charles Davis Brandon Gaudin. The new teams have Mike Tirico joined by Greg Olsen, and Kate Scott paired with Brock Huard. Along with the new commentators, Madden NFL 25 will include new camera angles, pregame packages, celebrations, and more.

Franchise

Franchise mode will see a few new improvements this year. The biggest one is the ability to customize your team using the Team Builder website. You will be able to upload your own logos and create unique uniforms for your team. You will also be able to share your designs with others or use a design someone else has created.

Along with this is the revamped NFL Draft experience, which will feature NFL Commissioner Roger Godell actually announcing the picks. You’ll get to see into a team’s war room as the draft progresses and receive real-time grades on the picks you make. There will also be a new Franchise Central that will deliver the storylines and stats on your opponents. Franchise mode will also feature crossplay at launch.

Superstar

In Superstar mode, you will be able to carry over your Road to Glory character from College Football 25. New archetypes, tattoos, faces, hair, and more have been added to make your character look however you want. New drills have been added to the combine to help you climb up the draft boards. There are also new abilities and a revamped progression system that will let you affect both yourself and your teammates while on the field.
